18 Holes of Honest Golf

Straightforward, fun, and playable for all skill levels, with enough challenge to keep regulars coming back.

Overview

Built on old farmland, shaped by 60 years of rounds

Cedar Run plays 5,940 yards from the whites at a par of 70. Tree-lined fairways, small push-up greens, and the creek that gives the course its name winding through six holes. It's a beginner-friendly layout from the forward tees and a real test of shot-making when the pins get tucked.

Greens and tees sit close together, so it walks easy — most of our regulars carry or pull a cart.

Hole by Hole

Know before you go

A quick local's guide to all 18. Photos coming soon — for now, trust us, it's prettier in person.

Hole 1 · Par 4 · 372 yds

The Handshake

A friendly opener. Wide fairway, slight dogleg right, green slopes back to front.

Hole 2 · Par 4 · 348 yds

Old Oak

Keep it left of the big oak and you'll have a short iron in.

Hole 3 · Par 3 · 156 yds

Creekside

Our postcard par 3 over the creek. Club up when the flag is back.

Hole 4 · Par 5 · 488 yds

The Long Walk

Longest hole on the course. Three smart shots beat two heroic ones.

Hole 5 · Par 4 · 401 yds

Cedar Bend

The number 3 handicap. A drawing tee shot sets up the best angle.

Hole 6 · Par 4 · 330 yds

Temptation

Short and tempting. Big hitters can get close, but the bunkers are waiting.

Hole 7 · Par 3 · 178 yds

The Wall

Long par 3 with a deep green. Par here feels like a birdie.

Hole 8 · Par 4 · 362 yds

Crossroads

Cedar Run crosses the fairway at 240. Lay back or fly it, your call.

Hole 9 · Par 4 · 385 yds

Amphitheater

Uphill finisher to a green right below the patio. Expect an audience.

Hole 10 · Par 4 · 340 yds

Fresh Start

A fresh start. Generous landing area, but the green is the smallest out here.

Hole 11 · Par 3 · 146 yds

Short Stop

Wedge-distance par 3. Spin it or release it, both work.

Hole 12 · Par 5 · 502 yds

Second Thoughts

Reachable in two on a firm day. The pond left says think twice.

Hole 13 · Par 4 · 368 yds

Homestead

Classic Cedar Run: tree-lined, honest, and fair.

Hole 14 · Par 4 · 312 yds

Breather

The shortest par 4. A straight 200-yard shot leaves a flip wedge.

Hole 15 · Par 3 · 165 yds

The Drop

Downhill par 3 that plays a club less. Pretty view, sneaky green.

Hole 16 · Par 4 · 354 yds

Sidehill

The fairway tilts right to left. Favor the right side off the tee.

Hole 17 · Par 4 · 391 yds

The Test

The number 4 handicap. A long approach to a well-bunkered green.

Hole 18 · Par 4 · 342 yds

Last Call

Finish strong. Dogleg left around the cedars to a two-tier green.

Course rules & pace of play

Keep up with the group ahead, not just ahead of the group behind. 18 holes should take about 4 hours, 15 minutes or less. Fill divots, fix ball marks, rake bunkers. Carts stay on paths near greens and tees. Out of bounds is marked white; the creek plays as a lateral hazard. Most of all: have fun and look out for each other.

Practice area

Warm up before your round on the practice putting green, the chipping green with practice bunker, and the warm-up net by the first tee. Practice is free with a round, or grab a $5 day pass at the pro shop and work on your short game all afternoon.

Walking the course

Cedar Run was designed to be walked, and walking rates are always the best deal on the sheet. The full 18 covers about 4.5 miles of gentle terrain with one good climb up the ninth.

Riding the course

A fleet of gas carts is available daily, first come, first served on busy weekends — reserve one with your tee time to be safe. Single riders welcome. Pull carts rent for $5.
